House Rules

Take your dog out for a pee/poo before coming to daycare!

Though we are well prepared for pee and poo accidents inside the daycare, we ask that you have consideration for us but more for your dog to ensure they do their business outside BEFORE coming up to the daycare.  So please, take an extra 5 minutes and actually walk your dog so he/she has a chance to do their business outside.

Leash and Collar

Please ensure your dog has a secure collar or harness with up to date ID.  Collars with studs or spikes, rhinestones and other decorative items that may fall off and be swallowed or injure other dogs are not permitted.  If we are walking your dogs we use our own leashes.

Medical Requirements

Proof of current vaccinations or Titre Test for Distemper combination, Rabies, and Bordatella is required. Puppies must have their 3rd (or equivalent) set of shots. Owners must ensure dogs are dewormed, do not have fleas, lice, ringworm, kennel cough, giardia, or other communicable illness or pests.  Should we see or suspect a dog of having any communicable illness or pest we will require the dog to be removed from the daycare by the owners immediately and will not be able to return until they are treated and no longer contagious.

If you do not have copies on hand, contact your vet and ask them to send us a copy by email to or by fax to 604.628.1763.

Restricted Dogs

Unfortunately, we are for the most part unable to accommodate the following dogs for the safety of your dog and other dogs attending daycare:

  • Un-neutered males over 7 months of age
  • Females in heat cycle, pregnant, or whelping
  • Puppies under 4 months of age
  • Dogs without all booster shots and/or current vaccinations (we accept titre tests)
  • Dogs with communical pests (i.e. fleas, ticks, lice, tape worms, ring worm) or a communicable illness (i.e. kennel cough)
  • Dogs with aggressive behavioural issues
  • We withhold the right to refuse any dog after a complete evaluation if that dog’s behaviour is deemed unsafe towards others. Please contact Holly to have dogs who fall into the above categories evaluated for consideration into the daycare.

Dog licenses and fines

Please ensure your dog has up to date license and tags.  Any fines issued by City of Vancouver Animal control regarding your dog for any reason is at the dog owner’s responsibility and cost.

Late Fees

  • $5 for each 15 minutes or portion of after 7pm (even if you let us know in advance)
  • Additional $45 if no show on or after 8pm as it then becomes overnight boarding service and may result in your dog being taken to our off-site boarding facility (our homes) for the night.

So say you didn’t make it back until 8:05pm the total cost NOT INCLUDING your daycare fee would be $65. Keep this in mind and make sure you remember to make it back in time or make arrangements to have your dog picked up by others before closing time.
